ArcGIS Education Edition

UC Berkeley students, staff, and faculty may obtain an education edition of ArcGIS Pro free of charge.

Eligibility Requirements:
Any UC Berkeley student, faculty, or staff is eligible to receive the software. You must include a valid CalNet ID in your request.

System Requirements:

ArcGIS Pro only works on Windows Operating Systems

Obtaining the Software:
Use the following form to request instructions on downloading and installing Pro. They will be sent to your berkeley.edu email address.

Installation Help:
Installing the software is typically an easy process, and extensive documentation is available on ESRI's website. The GIF is unable to provide extensive software installation assistance. Please see the ArcGIS Pro quick start guide for more detailed instructions if necessary.


Education Edition FAQs:

  • What extensions are included?
    1. The ArcGIS Pro Education Edition software includes 3D Analyst, Data Interoperability*, Data Reviewer*, Geostatistical Analyst, Network Analyst, Publisher, Spatial Analyst, and Workflow Manager*.

  • What are the limits to my use of the Education Edition software?

    1. ArcGIS Education Edition software may only be used for educational, research, and academic purposes and not for commercial use or resale. The term of use is until end of June of each year, and the license will need to be renewed then.
