Topic: "A Web-based Tool for Spatially Optimizing Multi-use Tropical Landscapes"

Description: The challenges of developing and implementing a web-based tool for the sustainable multi-use management of Malaysian tropical forests.

Topic: "Object Based Image Analysis (OBIA) with eCognition"

Description: Kevin and Maggi will briefly introduce OBIA and eCognition, a software application designed specifically for this type of analysis. Iryna, Jose, and Sam will share projects that they are working on, using eCognition. Finally, we will leave time for open discussion on the subject.

eCognition software is installed on GIF research lab workstations, which are available to all UC Berkeley students, staff, and faculty.
