Brian will lead an informal discussion on some of the different options that are now available when working with geospatial data in a server environment (GeoServer, MapServer, ArcGIS Server). Come share your knowledge in this area, or just listen and learn from others experience.

Topic: "Multi-spectral Remote Sensing of wildlife habitat: three case studies in mammals, birds and fish"

Presenter: Scott Loarie, Post Doctoral Fellow, Carnegie Institute, Stanford

Topic: "Keeping our eggs in our baskets: managing biodiversity responses to climate change"

Scott grew up in Healdsburg in Northern California and received undergraduate and masters degrees in ecology from Stanford University. He has a PhD in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University where he studied African mammal migrations with Stuart Pimm. He is currently a post-doc at the Carnegie Institution for Science at Stanford studying land-use and climate effects of biofuel expansion in South America.
